We're baaa-aack! ... With more pics of our picks from the Met Costume Institute Ball last night in New York City.
The winner of the night in the islandistas style stakes - and possibly overall - was Jennifer Lopez.
She looked gorgeous in her irridescent, glimmering gown by Zuhair Murad. The sweetheart neckline, the leaf detail in the skirt... perfection.

Do 'um Jenny!
JLo was right on target fashion wise as nude tones of greige (grey and beige) dominated the night - with Kate Hudson, Katy Perry, Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani and Anne Hathaway all sporting variations of beige, cream, coral etc.
Eva Mendes, went very differently style-wise with colours and patterns as opposed to neutrals and texture in a rose-patterned Dolce & Gabbana gown with a fish-tail skirt - perfect for the curvy Cubana.

Check out more islandista style and some of our favourite non-islandista fashionistas (and some misses!) under the cut.
Naomi Campbell was a bit Morticia-like in her black gown.

We're torn about Rosario Dawson's Giambatista Valli dress. We love the ruffled confection of a skirt and I guess in that vein, the pink colour makes sense - all candyish. But something about it just makes us think of Pepto-Bismol more than cotton candy.

We loooved Thandie Newton's magenta gown!

And Emmy Rossum's cornflower blue dress was simple but the colour and the chunky necklace made it a hit!

On the other design detail end, Blake Lively also wore blue but in a very different way - short and with a dense and fluffy shoulder and skirt detail which was just fantastic.

Quite on the other end - it's ironic that sometimes it is designers themselves that are fashion misses - or in the case of Donatella Versace, a permanent fashion miss.
Diane von Furstenberg was a real miss in our opinion last night. Her navy gown with the white stars splashed across it just made her look like Captain America's wife - or a giant flag - take your pick.

Urghh.
